Pastoral Care
Pastoral Care is how we love and support one another - through listening and encouragement, prayer and material support. We recognize that each one of us is both on the giving and the receiving end of this care, and that Jesus Christ is present in our midst whenever we offer care and support to one another.
This page of our website describes some of the ways we care for one another. If you are interested in any of the following ways of connecting, let us know by emailing connect@trinitynewhaven.org.
Prayer Requests - We include prayer requests by name in our weekly service bulletin & eNews. Email your requests to connect@trinitynewhaven.org by Wednesday for them to be included in the upcoming week’s communications.
Pastoral Visits - Let us know if you would like a visit, conversation, or prayer with one of our clergy or lay ministers. Support is available for people of all ages and all walks of life.
Hospital Visits - Let us know if you are admitted to the hospital, and we will do our best to come and visit you! In case of emergency, contact our office at 203-624-3101.
Prayer Shawl Ministry - Prayer shawls are knitted by Trinity parishioners, knitted with prayer and blessed by clergy.
Healing Ministry - There is a group of parishioners at Trinity dedicated to praying for healing, both in person and from afar. Let us know how you seek healing, and we will pray for you.
Food Minsitry - In times of transition or sickness, sometimes a warm meal can make a world of difference. Let us know if you would like homemade meals dropped at your door during a difficult time.
Postcard Ministry - We send postcards to people who may be isolated or limited due to technology, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Trinity Bed Fund - Trinity has designated funds that can help may for inpatient treatment at Yale New Haven Hospital. Reach out if you are in need.
